2012 Bench-Bar Dinner - Shuttle Meadow CC
The Greater New Britain Bar Association held its annual Bench-Bar Dinner at Shuttle Meadow Country Club for members of bar, friends and judges of the Superior Court. Chief Judge Alexandra Davis DiPentima of the Connecticut Appellate Court was the keynote speaker and discussed the role her court plays in our system of justice. Chief Judge DiPentima was introduced by Judge Jon M. Alander, Administrative Judge for the Judicial District of New Britain.
Four awards of recognition for exceptional service were given by the bar association during this "Night of Appreciation".
Judge Robert Brunetti presented Laura Leigh, Clerk of Bristol Court with a plaque and flowers. Dennis Dowd, Chief Judicial Marshal for the Judicial District of New Britain presented an award to Marshal Rose Kroll. Probate Judge Walter Clebowicz recognized Berlin Probate District Chief Clerk Ceil Hann and Rosemary "Cookie" Kaminski was recognized by Brian Preleski, State's Attorney for the Judicial District of New Britain. The honorees were recognized for their long and commendable service to the Courts and the judicial system.
Dinner followed an hour of refreshments where the attendees, judges, lawyers and friends of the Greater New Britain Bar Association mingled and chatted. President Stephen F. Cashman set the tone by acknowledging the nature of our justice system that "we can be adversaries in the morning and sit down together at night".
